Britt Baker Not Going Anywhere Says Major AEW Star

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has praised Britt Baker as a “very valuable” part of the company.

On January 19th, it was reported that Britt Baker might be done with AEW as Tony Khan had become “fed up” with the star and the drama that seems to follow her. However, that view has since been refuted, with Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer claiming the stories about Baker were being “blown way out of proportion,” although there were no immediate plans to use the star in the company.

Now, Chris Jericho has weighed into the conversation, praising Baker on The Takedown on SI and saying that he doesn’t see her “going anywhere.”

“You would have to ask Britt that. I haven’t really heard either way, but I know she’s obviously a very valuable part of the company. She’s one of the OGs, probably one of our first homegrown stars, and I think she does a great job whenever she’s in the ring. So, I don’t see her leaving or going anywhere, and I’m looking forward to having her come back on the show because she has a great character and a great presence and, once again, a great fan base within AEW and within the wrestling world.”

Is WWE Interested In AEW’s Britt Baker?

While there are conflicting views on her future, it has been reported that WWE would be interested in hiring Britt Baker “if she became available.” However, the promotion is said to believe that situation is unlikely anytime soon.
