Dr. Britt Baker DMD has been at the forefront of AEW’s women’s division for years now but her success has come at a cost as she continues to battle injury problems.

Baker became AEW World Champion at Double Or Nothing in 2021 but her time in the company has been plagued by injuries and in her four years in the company she has competed in 94 bouts for AEW – averaging just under 24 a year.

Speaking to ComicBook, Britt Baker revealed the extent of her injury issues and says that things are getting worse:

“Unfortunately it’s getting worse. Now it’s like a neck and a back problem. But it’s manageable. I’m tough, so I’ll always find ways to work. My championship reign was with a broken wrist. So I’ll figure it out one way or another. You’ve got to work your way around it, sometimes maybe trick your body into thinking, ‘Eh, it doesn’t really hurt that bad.'”

Britt Baker came to the ring to celebrate with her boyfriend Adam Cole on Dynamite after he competed in his first match in nine months, defeating Daniel Garcia. Baker and Cole are front and centre as the stars of the company’s new reality show, AEW All Access, which premiered after Dynamite on TBS.

The show will feature the ongoing issues between Baker and Thunder Rosa with the Pittsburgh native believing there are still questions to be answered over Rosa’s decision to vacate the AEW Women’s Title.
