Britt Baker Addresses AEW Absence
Britt Baker has big plans for 2024.
Britt Baker hasn’t wrestled since being beaten by Kris Statlander back in mid-September — missing out on the TBS Title in the process.
The star had been a regular presence on AEW television since the company’s launch in 2019, and a key part of the women’s division, thus her absence was quickly spotted by fans. However, details have been few and far between.
Speaking at a SXSW Panel, Baker said she couldn’t wait to be back in the ring, although she didn’t provide a timeline for her comeback.
“Yeah, I do. Just growing as a wrestler and performer and learning what works and what doesn’t work.
With all the new talent coming in and new talent I get to work with, and new coaches and new people coming over from WWE, new brains and minds we get to pick. You’re really doing yourself a huge disservice if you’re not constantly asking everybody around you for help. The help in AEW is growing and growing.
For me personally, I can’t wait to get back in the ring, have [a mic] in my hand and cut some promos. Stay tuned,”
Britt Baker Needed To Step Back From AEW
Speaking back in January, Britt Baker said she felt she needed to take a step back, to let the spotlight shine on other members of the women’s divison.
Meanwhile, there have also been reports that the star is dealing with a back injury, something the woman herself has previously discussed, although she said the issues were manageable.
