Bret Hart Claims Current WWE Figure Tried To Kill Him

Bret Hart

Bret Hart says a fellow WWE Hall of Famer’s finisher was “really dangerous.”

For more than two decades, Bret Hart has been calling out Goldberg at every opportunity for being dangerous in the ring and ending his career.

The infamous incident in question took place at WCW Starrcade 1999, where Goldberg hit Hart with a stiff kick to the head. The kick gave Hart a concussion, and it’s believed he received further head trauma as the match continued.

While the Hart-Goldberg spat has taken on a life of its own, especially in an era dominated by the internet, The Hitman has now criticised another WWE Hall of Famer.

Bret Hart Hits Out Booker T

During a recent virtual signing for Signed By Superstars, Hart was asked about Goldberg’s latest comments, but before he addressed his wrestling nemesis, he claimed Booker T’s scissors kick was dangerous. Hart added that he felt Goldberg and Booker were trying to kill him.

Man, that’s a really dangerous move, that one (Bret said while looking at photo of Booker T doing Scissors Kick to him) … When he did that to me, it drove my head right into the mat… Between him and Goldberg, they were trying to kill me. That was a really dangerous move. I had to tell him stop. He couldn’t do it to me anymore. He (did it to) me two or three times and every time he did, drove my head right into the — almost right through the boards.

I don’t pay much attention to Bill. I don’t know anyone that does (Bret responded to follow-up question about Goldberg’s more recent comments about him).

In a recent interview, Goldberg told Bret Hart to “grow up,” while pointing out that he’s repeatedly apologised for the accident in 1999.
