Wrestling Legend Thinks WWE Should Release Bray Wyatt

A wrestling legend feels that WWE should release Bray Wyatt from his contract due to being “too much trouble.”

Following a surprising WWE release in the summer of 2021, Bray Wyatt made his return to the company at Extreme Rules last October.

Fans were excited to see what Wyatt would do following his return, but unfortunately most of the last year it’s been a lot of activity for the former WWE & Universal Champion. Wyatt has only had one televised match since his return in October – a win over LA Knight at the Royal Rumble in January. One match on television in nearly ten months is a bad sign.

The latest update on Wyatt is that he was dealing with some sort of mystery illness or injury, but the specifics of what he’s dealing with have not been made public.

Konnan, who is a wrestling legend in Mexico that was also well known during his WCW run, is a booker for the AAA promotion that also gave a memorable speech at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony for the induction of his good friend Rey Mysterio.

While speaking on his Keeping It 100 podcast recently, Konnan matter-of-factly suggested that WWE should release Bray Wyatt just like they did two years ago.

“I’m a big Bray Wyatt fan but he’s too much trouble.”

“His matches aren’t good and as creative as he is, $3 million for what he’s doing? Yeah, get rid of him.”

At WrestleMania 39, Bray Wyatt was teased for a match against Bobby Lashley. They were starting to do some angles on television to build the match, but then it just went away a few weeks before the show. Both men were kept off the WrestleMania 39 broadcast.

The Undertaker Has An Idea For Bray Wyatt’s Future

Earlier this month, The Undertaker suggested that WWE should have Bray Wyatt go back to the original roots of his character.

“They need to back Bray’s character up to the original character, get away from – they’ve kind of got themselves booked into a situation where it’s kind of difficult for him to have matches.

“I think the original Wyatt Family Bray, that’s the money. I got to work with Bray at ‘Mania the year after I got concussed in the Brock match. I worked with Bray – I think a lot of him, and I like what he’s doing. I think they just have to figure out how to… they need to back it up I think.

“His promos, and then his ability to work – he’s an incredible, incredible worker but he’s not getting the opportunity to do it. I hope the best for him, I really do think a lot of him. We’ll see what happens there.”

For now, Bray Wyatt remains on the sidelines with WWE hoping he can come back soon.
