Bray Wyatt WrestleMania Update – “Looks Like He’s Off The Show”
Bray Wyatt set his sights on the winner of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley’s match at Elimination Chamber to face at WrestleMania 39 but it looks like that won’t be happening.
The planned match with Bobby Lashley received some build when a Wyatt video played while Lashley was in the arena but the former Fiend was pulled off live events in recent weeks and things appear to have gone quiet on the planned bout.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave the latest update on Wyatt’s WrestleMania status following Raw and says it looks like he won’t be appearing on the show:
“Man, nobody knows what’s going on there. Not a mention of Bray Wyatt all night. Not a mention of Bobby Lashley all night. Yeah, I mean, it looks to me like he’s, I mean I don’t wanna say it looks like he’s off the show, but it looks like he’s off the show because they are not mentioning his name at all.
“They did a little flash with that Bray Wyatt stuff on Friday’s show [SmackDown], so he’s with the company obviously. There was another video where they showed him briefly, so it’s not like he’s been scrubbed from anything. He was supposed to be at the show Friday night. Whatever it is, it’s a health issue, and the health issue hasn’t cleared up yet. If they were confident that it was, they would at least have Bobby Lashley out there doing promos and stuff.”
Bray Wyatt has only competed on television once since returning to WWE in October 2022, defeating LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black match at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
