WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt has passed away at the age of 36.

Bray Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda, died today. This news was first shared by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who received the news from Bray’s father WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda (Irwin R. Schyster). This is what Triple H shared with us.

“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”

About two hours after the news came out, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted that Bray died of a heart attack.

As of this writing, there are no more details about what happened. We will have more updates when we learn more.

Wyatt was a father of four children who was married to former WWE announcer Jojo.

Bray Wyatt returned to WWE in October 2022 at Extreme Rules after weeks of building and setting up his return one year after he was released by the company. Bray only wrestled one televised match over the last year – a victory over LA Knight at Royal Rumble 2023 in Pitch Black Match. Since March, Bray was kept off television.

Bray Wyatt Was A WWE And Universal Champion

As a third-generation superstar who’s the grandson of Blackjack Mulligan and son of Mike Rotunda, Bray Wyatt was a natural for pro wrestling. He was signed by WWE in 2009 at the age of 23. In the years that followed, he rose to become a main roster superstar first as Husky Harris, but that didn’t last and ended up using the name of Bray Wyatt to great success.

In the years that followed, he would lead a group known as The Wyatt Family and also become a character known as The Fiend as well.

Bray was a main event performer that held the WWE Championship once in 2017 and he was a two-time Universal Champion as well. He wrestled all of the big names in WWE in this era like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton and so many others. He also had a memorable WrestleMania 31 clash with The Undertaker as well.

Everybody at TJRWrestling is absolutely devastated by this news. We send our condolences to Bray’s family and friends while also mourning with his millions of fans around the world.
