Braun Strowman Provides Surprising Update On Former Tag Team Partner
Braun Strowman has shared some information about his former WWE tag team partner Nicholas, who is a former Tag Team Champion.
At WrestleMania 34 in 2018, Braun Strowman was in a Raw Tag Team Title match against the championship team of Sheamus & Cesaro. Going into the match, the problem was that Strowman didn’t have a tag team partner, so fans had to tune in to see who Strowman would tag with.
When the match took place, Strowman walked into the massive crowd of people in New Orleans and picked out a random kid named Nicholas to be his partner. Strowman went on to dominate the match and win the Raw Tag Team Titles with Nicholas, who was a fourth grader at the time.
The next night on Raw, Strowman & Nicholas relinquished the titles due to Nicholas being too young to compete in WWE regularly. In reality, Nicholas’ name is Nicholas Cone and he’s the son of former WWE referee John Cone, who works for the company in the talent relations department.
During an appearance on Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, Strowman provided an update on Nicholas in an interview that was five years after they were a tag team.
“Nicholas is like six-five now. The cool thing is, I just saw one of the sites that does all our action figures and stuff, Ringside Collectibles or something like that, there’s a Nicholas action figure coming out. So I’m really excited for that and stuff like that.”
“It’s neat to see. Imagine being that kid and going back to school that Monday after that happened. What an unbelievable experience. It was really fun doing that. Some people didn’t like it because the violence wasn’t there. But if you understand the whole message and the premise of what we do is WWE, that is WWE. It was a special moment.”
What Strowman was referring to with Nicholas action figure is that the Build-A-Figure is included in the WWE Elite WrestleMania 40 wave of figures. If you buy all four figures, you can complete the Nicholas figure.
As for whether Nicholas is really 6’5″ tall as a teenager, that could be a of Strowman being facetious to some degree.
When Will Braun Strowman Wrestle In WWE Again?
