Braun Strowman has shared how he feels about WWE’s change in leadership that led to his 2022 comeback.

In June 2021, Braun Strowman was surprisingly released by WWE even though he was a main event-level performer and a former Universal Champion. Strowman has since said he was left speechless after his release with WWE merely telling him that it was due to “budget cuts.”

Strowman returned to WWE on the September 5th edition of Raw following rumors that he was in discussions to come back. The comeback happened after Vince McMahon (who was in charge when Strowman was released) retired in July 2022, which led to Stephanie McMahon becoming the Chairwoman and Co-CEO while Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over as the WWE Chief Content Officer meaning he was running the creative team.

Since coming back to WWE, Braun Strowman has looked like he’s in the best shape of his career and picked up a big win over Omos at Crown Jewel.

While speaking to the Toronto Sun, Strowman said he’s happy about the leadership change in WWE while also adding that

“I think it’s awesome. It’s always evolving. I always had a great time with Vince when he was in charge. He always led the steam for the motion of what WWE is. I have a great relationship with Steph and H and they’re such amazing people and they have such a passion for the business and the industry.”

“You can see with the little Easter eggs hidden here and there, I think they’re evolving the show to be even more fan-oriented.”

As he continued, Braun Strowman talked about how he feels WWE is bringing in new fans while adding that he’s thrilled to be back.

“We’re putting products on the TV and I’ve heard it time and time again with me being back from my friends and others saying things like ‘Hey, I had a friend over who’s not a wrestling fan and we turned it on and so and so was on and they did this and all of a sudden now we have a new fan hooked.’ At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about. It’s about drawing new eyes in, new demographics.”

“WWE is the top of the mountain when it comes to sports entertainment and Stephanie and H are doing such an amazing job with the young talent that we have in the locker room, portraying these storylines along and just putting out a great product and it’s showing in views and everything else across the board. I couldn’t be happier to be back at this time, helping drive this bus into the future.”

Braun Strowman is part of the WWE Smackdown roster and recently started a feud with the Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, which could lead to a title match some day soon.
