Braun Strowman Featured In New WWE Show After Being Released

Braun Strowman WWE Get These Hands

Braun Strowman will star in a WWE-produced television show even though the company fired him.

It was in December 2024 when Braun Strowman was celebrating one decade since his first WWE match against Chad Gable. WWE signed Strowman due to his impressive size and his past a powerlifter.

In the decade after his first match, Strowman went on to be a main event star, a former WWE Universal Champion, and the holder of numerous other titles.

Strowman has also been released twice by WWE, including in this year’s post-WrestleMania cuts.

Even though WWE released Strowman, the company has produced a television show featuring the “Monster Among Men” eating food on a show called “Everything On The Menu with Braun Strowman” and it will be on USA Network, which airs SmackDown on Fridays. Variety has more details on the show that is set to debut in the fall of 2025.

“Everything On The Menu with Braun Strowman” is a new food format with a big appetite. Each episode, join WWE Legend Braun Strowman as he eats his way across America, while on the road for WWE, ordering everything on every menu and trying to down every last bite.

“Everything On The Menu with Braun Strowman” is produced by WWE Studios and BrightNorth Studios. Paul Levesque, Lee Fitting, Marc Pomarico and Ben Houser executive produce for WWE Studios. Matthew J. Braley, Kevin Duncan, Morgan Hertzan, Pat Dimon, Shawn Efran, and Azadeh De Leon executive produce for BrightNorth Studios.

Why Did WWE Release Braun Strowman?

It seems bizarre that WWE would release a guy like Braun Strowman, who is starring in a show on USA Network, but there have been a few reports about why they let Strowman go.

Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Strowman was released likely because he was being paid a lot of money and his injury history.

“Strowman’s release was said to be a combination of his high salary and injuries. He had not been moving well in the ring since coming back from a major hamstring injury and one person there noted to us that he was hurt worse than people realized.”

In an interview before his WWE release, Braun Strowman told Miles Addy on Instagram about his injury history.

“Before I even debuted on TV, I ruptured my L5S1, which paralyzed my left leg 100%. Had emergency surgery, I got 85% of it back, so my entire career, I’ve wrestled with a 15% paralyzed left leg from my low back. I’ve had elbow surgery twice. My teeth are fake.

All these scars when I went through the windshield in the Wyatt Family Swamp fight. I broke my neck, have a metal plate four screws in my neck. I tore my groin two minutes into the Last Man Standing match with Bronson Reed, went 20 more minutes with a torn groin. They all suck, but it’s part of the game.”

It will be interesting to see how WWE promotes “Everything On The Menu with Braun Strowman” when he’s not part of the company and could be wrestling in another promotion.
