One of the early ROH World Champions is being forced to retire due to doctors finding an issue with their brain.

In December 2006, Homicide became the eighth man in history to become ROH World Champion when he defeated Bryan Danielson at Final Battle. Incredibly fourteen years later, Homicide claimed gold in the promotion once again, this time becoming ROH World Tag Team Champion with Chris Dickinson.

TNA fans will remember Homicide as a key part of LAX and with Hernandez they captured the TNA Tag Team Championship with Homicide also holding the X-Division Title in 2009.

But now it seems his career is coming to an end.

Ex-ROH Champion Homicide Announces Retirement

Taking to social media, Homicide revealed that his match on March 20 will be the last of his career due to doctors finding a cyst on his brain which is causing his speech and vision to get worse as time goes on:

Homicide was Jon Moxley’s unlikely partner for a Doomsday match in NJPW in 2023. Moxley’s violent tendencies were on display in that match and now the AEW World Champion has caused a stir with a horrific spot on Dynamite.

Everyone at TJR Wrestling sends their best wishes to Homicide for his retirement.
