Booker T Open To Attending AEW Event
Could fans see Booker T at Sting’s last match?
On March 3rd, Sting will step into the ring for the final time as he teams with Darby Allin to defend the World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks. Given that the match will serve as a goodbye to fans around the world, several wrestling legends are expected to be in attendance.
Lex Luger has hinted he’ll be at Revolution, even if Kevin Nash won’t be as he’s a “WWE guy.”
Meanwhile, despite being very much on WWE’s payroll, Booker T has admitted he’d be open to attending if he’s invited. Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker broke down the respect he has for The Icon.
“If I was off and I was invited, I probably would go. I mean, no one has invited me. Sting and I, we were close in a lot of ways. I wouldn’t necessarily say Sting and I were like friends or buddies that hung out or anything.
We’ve never hung out or anything like that, but I have always had the utmost respect for Steve. If I was invited to be at his last last match, I definitely would consider it, you know, if I was off. If I’m off, I’m always available.”
Booker T Closing On NXT Return
In recent weeks, Booker T has been absent from the NXT announce desk after undergoing a medical procedure. However, the Hall of Famer is expected to return to work on February 27th.
On the same episode of his podcast, Booker said he’s back to 98% health and good to go, adding that he’s looking forward to returning to ringside.
