Booker T Believes Former Faction Deserves More Credit

Booker T cuts a promo

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T thinks that a former faction of his doesn’t get enough credit and thinks the group’s time together may have been too short.

In 2006, something majestic happened in WWE as Booker T won the King of the Ring tournament and King Booker was born. Alongside his wife, Queen Sharmell, King Booker captured the World Heavyweight Championship and for a brief spell, he presided over his very own court.

Finlay and William Regal proved to be quite the henchmen for their king, taking out those who stepped in his royal path.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed the faction and says he was surprised to have as much fun working with William Regal and Finlay:

“I always thought, you know, we as a faction didn’t get enough credit. I don’t think we were together long enough probably, but together, man, we were a hell of a faction. Booker T, Regal, and Finlay, with our lovely queen Sharmell — that was a hell of a team right there.”

“Never in a million years, I thought I’d have so much fun working with William Regal and Finlay. I hated working those guys. They were stiff. Of course, you’ve seen Regal matches on television back in the day. Him and Benoit used to do some crazy stuff, but Finlay was just as hardcore, and those guys were cut from a different cloth.”
