Bianca Belair Shares Unfortunate Injury Update Amid WWE Absence
Bianca Belair remains on the sidelines while trying to recover from a serious injury.
For the past five years, Bianca Belair has established herself as one of the best female superstars in WWE. Unfortunately for the 3-time WWE Women’s Champion, Belair, 2025 has been the year she spent more time on the injured list than in the ring.
After winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, Bianca Belair earned a shot at the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41, held by Iyo Sky. Rhea Ripley also felt like she deserved another shot, so they had a triple threat match.
Sky retained her title in the WrestleMania 41 triple threat match with Belair and Ripley. It’s also a match that many people will remember as not just one of the best WWE matches this year, but perhaps one of the best women’s matches in WWE history.
That was also a match in which Belair suffered a serious hand injury, and she has been on the sidelines for nearly 7 months because of it.
During an appearance on BET’s 106 & Sports, Belair explained that she broke her knuckle, so it’s more complicated than just a finger.
“So I broke my knuckle — which is not my finger — I broke my knuckle joint. It’s something that I thought was gonna be a very straightforward, eight to 12 weeks. It’s been almost six months at this point.”
Bianca Belair Hand Injury Suffered During Top Rope Spot At WrestleMania 41
As she continued, Bianca Belair explained how the hand injury happened when she was doing a move off the top rope.
“But it was WrestleMania, and I was in a Triple Threat with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY and we were going to the top rope because that’s what we do. We came off the top rope and Rhea landed straight on my hand and just crushed everything in my finger.”
Regarding her recovery process, Belair spoke about the mental aspect of missing time, while showing optimism regarding a return.
“So, it’s been a crazy journey and you know, being an athlete and having an injury, you rely on your body and now my body’s not doing what it is supposed to do but, I’m hoping I can be back in the ring soon.” (H/T RingsideNews)
There’s been no reported timeline for when Bianca Belair will return to the WWE ring, but she said she hopes to be back in the ring “soon,” so when it happens, WWE fans will welcome her back with cheers since she’s one of the most popular superstars in the company.
