Becky Lynch To Star In Young Rock

Becky Lynch

With the new series of Young Rock set to hit our screens in a matter of days, Becky Lynch has been confirmed to have a role in an upcoming episode.

Set to be billed under her real name of Rebecca Quinn, Pro Wrestling Insider is reporting that ‘The Man’ is set to play Cyndi Lauper as part of an episode surrounding episode one.

The report also goes on to note that Lauper was considered to be a recurring character for the series, meaning Lynch may well be involved in more than just the one episode around ‘The Showcase Of The Immortals’.

The plot of the first episode deals with a party Lauper throws around WrestleMania 1. Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, Vince McMahon, Lou Albano and Liberace will also be portrayed in the episode, which is set in 1985. When the series was being cast, Lauper was listed as a possible recurring character, so this may not be Lynch’s only appearance in the series.

Cyndi Lauper appeared at WrestleMania 1 to accompany Wendi Richter to the ring for her Women’s Championship match against Leilani Kai.

Young Rock has quickly become a hit TV series detailing the life of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, from his early years through to breaking in to the wrestling business and becoming a top name in the world of sports entertainment.

Becky Lynch has been out of action since SummerSlam 2022, where she suffered an injury during her Raw Women’s Championship match with Bianca Belair. Whilst she was able to finish the contest as planned, she was forced to step away from the ring to recover the following night on Raw.

There was recently an update on when Lynch is expected to be cleared to compete.
