Becky Lynch Reflects On Return To NXT

Becky Lynch NXT Women's Champion

Becky Lynch loved her NXT run.

After finally getting the better of Trish Stratus at Payback in September 2023, Becky Lynch began a rivalry with Tiffany Stratton. At the time Stratton held the NXT Women’s Title — a title Lynch had famously never won.

Over the next two months, Lynch defeated Stratton to claim the gold and battled the likes of Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell before losing to Lyra Valkyria.

During an appearance on Under The Ring, Lynch looked back on her short return to NXT with great fondness, revealing it was WWE bosses who approached her with the idea.

“I loved it. It wasn’t like a thing where I was like, ‘I need to win the NXT Women’s Championship to feel like my career is complete,’ but when the offer was suggested to me like, ‘Would I go down to NXT and work with these girls?’ I was like, ‘Hell yes.'”

Continuing on, Lynch said it was important for young NXT stars to work with people more experienced as it will help them improve.

“It’s cyclical,” Lynch said. “We learn by working with the people who have been where we want to go, and so I think that’s important that we get in there, we get our hands dirty, and we show them the ropes. Beat them up a little bit.”

Becky Lynch Nearing End Of WWE Deal

Speaking elsewhere, Becky Lynch revealed she’s in the final two months of her WWE contract, and more interestingly, she claimed there have been no talks over a new deal.

At WrestleMania 40, Becky Lynch will challenge Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship.
