Becky Lynch On First Kiss With Ex-WWE Boyfriend: “My Knees Almost Buckling”
Before marrying Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch had a real-life love story with another WWE Superstar.
The Man and The Visionary began dating in 2019. Just a few months later, the couple announced their engagement. They tied the knot in June 2021, six months after having their first daughter.
While Rollins previously dated former NXT star Zahra Schreiber, Lynch also had a real-life romance with former Universal Champion Finn Balor in her younger years.
The former Women’s World Champion first met Balor when she joined his wrestling school. As they worked together, the two developed feelings for each other.

Becky Lynch & Finn Balor Had Their First Kiss At Dublin’s Busiest Train Station
In her autobiography, Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl, the 38-year-old opened up about secretly falling in love with Balor. She also detailed their final meeting before she traveled to Canada for the first time. It signaled the beginning of their relationship when the former Women’s World Champion made the first move.
Lynch disclosed that she felt it was her final chance to show her feelings to Balor. Hence, she kissed him at Dublin’s busiest train station just three days before she had to say goodbye.
There were three days left when I met up with Fergal in town to say goodbye. After all, I wouldnât have even had this dream if it hadnât been for him opening the school in Bray. We had been getting closer and closer ever since the UK tour where we almost became accessories to a crime.
We would talk about wrestling and our ambitions, knowing that we wouldnât get to where we wanted by staying in Ireland. We had to take risks, travel, go out on a limb, put ourselves out there. And I suppose as we laughed and irted all day around town, we were putting ourselves out there. Just in a di erent way.
After four hours of fun and anticipatory butter ies had passed, it was that terrible time of day when we were due back to our respective homes in their separate directions. As we stood at the train station and I looked to the electric board above, warning me of the four minutes I had left to make a move or be doomed to travel to the Pacific Northwest with a suitcase full of what-ifs, I went for it right there, kissing him in the middle of Dublinâs busiest station, my knees almost buckling with glee. But now that I had love on the brain, the last thing I wanted to do was leave!
For the next three days, Becky Lynch spent her time with Balor instead of packing and getting ready for her trip. She admitted she was torn between her desire to stay and her need to leave. Nevertheless, she was over the moon having a boyfriend she once thought was out of her league.
The time that was meant to be dedicated to packing and preparing was promptly replaced by going on hikes and sitting at the beach, gazing into each otherâs eyes, sharing those loving tender moments that leave a lingering sense of magic in the air as young love does.
The need to leave and the desire to stay pulled me with equal force as if I might split in half. Yet at the same time it felt like everything I could ever want in life was happening. I now had a boyfriend I had once thought was way out of my league.
I was about to travel to do the thing I adored more than anything and take a massive leap of faith. I knew I was on the brink of something big. I was terrified but kept thinking, It will either be a great adventure or a great story, but either way, it might make a decent memoir one day.
While Lynch is currently married to Seth Rollins, Balor is married to Mexican sports journalist Vero Rodriguez.
