Becky Lynch & Lita Set For WWE Title Showdown

Following WWE Hall of Famer Lita’s shocking return to WWE, it is now confirmed that she will challenge for gold in her first match in over a year alongside Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch has been embroiled in a bitter feud with Damage CTRL ever since the group burst onto the scene at SummerSlam 2022 led by Bayley. Lynch and Bayley seemed destined to settle the score with a cage match on the 6th of February edition of Raw but the bad blood continued.

Dakota Kai and IYO SKY had sought to help Bayley to victory in that match but a surprise appearance from Lita put paid to that as she evened the sides somewhat allowing Lynch to get the win.

On Monday Night Raw in Ottawa, Bayley was attempting to host her Ding Dong Hello segment when the party was crashed by Lita and Becky Lynch. The pair then challenged SKY and Kai for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the 27th of February edition of Raw, which Bayley accepted on her Damage CTRL teammate’s behalf.

A championship win could be just what Lynch needs as she has attempted to plot her own Road to WrestleMania. Ironically, Lita’s last title match in WWE came at Elimination Chamber 2022 when Lynch defeated her to retain her Raw Women’s Championship.
