Becky Lynch Fought For WWE’s Women Says Ex Star

Becky Lynch WWE

A former WWE star has praised Becky Lynch for fighting for other women in the company.

In 2023, Becky Lynch captured the NXT Women’s Championship for the first time. Despite only having a short reign with the title, The Man made the most of it, taking on multiple challengers including Natalya, Tiffany Stratton, and Tegan Nox – now known as Nixon Newell on the independent scene.

Looking back on the bout during an appearance on Horror Pop After Midnight, Newell admitted it was “cool” to get in the ring with Lynch. The star explained that Lynch fought for many of the women in WWE, event handpicking opponents to help elevate them.

“Dude, that was cool. Becky is such a good person in the sense of, one, she’s nice, but she fought for so many of the women in the locker room.

“She specifically asked to work with a lot of us, which you don’t really hear much of these days, so getting to work with her and learn from her was one of the best experiences ever, and I cannot thank Becky enough for that. She’s a cool dude. She’s a real, real cool dude.”

Becky Lynch Set For Title Shot At WWE Backlash

At Backlash, Becky Lynch will face Lyra Valkyria for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title. The champion laid down the challenge to Lynch on the latest edition of Raw, looking to get revenge for The Man’s vicious assault on her the previous week. Lynch accepted the challenge, but just as she began to berate Valkyria, the champion delivered a dropkick to her face, sending her out of the ring.
