Bayley Vents About Being Left Off WWE SummeSlam Card
Bayley is not on the 2025 SummerSlam PLE card.
The former women’s champion competed in a 2 out of 3 falls match against Lyra Valkyria on the July 14 episode of WWE RAW.
The winner of the match would challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at ‘the Biggest Party of the Summer.’
Despite securing the first fall, Bayley got pinned twice consecutively, resulting in a loss.
She is currently a babyface on the brand, but her recent actions have hinted at a possible heel turn.
After the July 25 SmackDown episode concluded, she competed in a dark match against Lyra Valkyria. However, before the match began, Bayley had a few words to say.
Before this match gets started, I have a bone to pick with the first ever women’s IC champion, Lyra Valkyria, okay? Now, I know this is SmackDown, but if you guys watch Monday Night RAW, I tried to do something out of the good of my heart put us in a tag team title match. Why? To get us to SummerSlam because I am out of a match at SummerSlam, thanks to you! Explain yourself! What happened on Monday? Look, it doesn’t matter. It’s water under the bridge. It’s water under the bridge. Look, all I care about is giving Cleveland a show tonight and I’m gonna beat your ass! [H/T NoDQ.com]
Bayley lost the dark match via pinfall.
Bayley Was The Defending Champion At SummerSlam 2024
Bayley was the WWE Women’s Champion going into SummerSlam last year, where she faced Nia Jax.
Jax qualified as the contender after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament.
In the closing minutes of that match, Tiffany Stratton ran interference, causing a distraction, as Nia Jax capitalized for the win.
