Bayley Comments On History With WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

Bayley Sasha Banks WWE Womens Tag Team Championship

Bayley has recalled what it felt to be a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion and how long she wanted the company to create those titles.

During her WWE career, Bayley has won every championship there is to win. She was the NXT Women’s Champion before being moved up to the main roster. Once there, she went on to hold the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Titles, which are now known as the WWE Women’s and Women’s World Titles.

In addition to her success as a singles wrestler, Bayley was also the first Women’s Tag Team Champion with Sasha Banks when they won the titles at Elimination Chamber 2019.

The popular duo of Bayley & Banks was known as the Boss N Hug Connection. They would go on to hold the titles for 49 days. In 2020, the duo were champions again for another 85 days.

Since February 17th is the fifth anniversary of the first Bayley-Banks title win, the Role Model went on Twitter/X to reminisce a bit

“And we fought for them for over 6 years. For our division and more opportunity. Grateful for my time with you.”

Don’t look for a Bayley-Banks in-ring reunion any time soon because Banks is set to debut in AEW this coming March while using the name Mercedes Mone.

Bayley Chooses Her WrestleMania 40 Opponent

While previous years featured a lot of losing, Bayley started 2024 right by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match in January.

Since then, Bayley has dealt with jealousy within the Damage CTRL group that she created in the summer of 2022. The trio of WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY and Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Kairi Sane attacked Bayley, but Bayley was able to fight them.

After things fell apart with Damage CTRL, Bayley warned Sky that she was coming for her and the WWE Women’s Title at WrestleMania 40,

On the February 9th edition of Smackdown, Dakota Kai appeared tobe on Bayley’s side against Sky, Asuka & Sane. Whether that continues to be the case remains to be seen.
