Bayley Explains WWE SmackDown Absence
Bayley will be back soon.
The December 6th episode of SmackDown came and went without involvement from Bayley. The star had been at the centre of the chaos heading into Survivor Series as she replaced Jade Cargill in WarGames.
At the event, Bayley held up her end of the bargain, helping Rhea Ripley, Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Iyo Sky to victory. But it seems her efforts in that match came at a cost.
During an appearance on the SmackDown Lowdown, the former Women’s Champion reflected on a “brutal” outing at WarGames.
“I don’t think anyone’s 100% coming out of WarGames. That match is so brutal. We all know the stakes we take, all the risks we take, just by joining the teams and being a part of it. I was in there from the very beginning, starting with Nia Jax, so it took a toll.
But let’s just say I’m happy that I got this week off to rest. I get to rest, I get to study, I get to watch some Chelsea Green matches.”
Bayley Is WWE’s New Locker Room Leader
During a recent interview, Cody Rhodes heaped praise on Bayley for her influence and work behind the scenes. Rhodes said that along with Randy Orton, the star is a true locker-room leader and is always on hand to motivate those around her.
The woman herself later said it’s her goal to try and build the women’s division up even further in 2025.
Bayley is set to face Chelsea Green in the semi-finals of the Women’s United States Championship tournament. The winner will face either Michin or Tiffany Stratton at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14th.
