Baron Corbin Wins First WWE Title In Six Years

Baron Corbin has had more ups and downs than most WWE stars in his career but now he has reason to celebrate after winning gold again.

Baron Corbin has been a constable, a king, happy, and almost destitute during his time in WWE but a return to NXT has reignited his career and now an unlikely partnership has scored even more success.

Corbin and Bron Breakker first crossed paths as rivals but they eventually found a mutual bond over being so dislikable to everyone else. The Wolf Dogs were born as a result and they teamed up for the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Breakker and Corbin picked up the win in that tournament over Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams at Vengeance Day earning themselves an NXT Tag Team Championship shot in the process.

Baron Corbin Wins First WWE Tag Team Gold In NXT

On the 13th of February edition of NXT they received that shot against The Family and picked up yet another win to claim gold. Bron Breakker was previously a two-time NXT Champion, last holding that title in April 2023 but Baron Corbin has had to wait a lot longer to claim WWE gold.

In Corbin’s twelve-year WWE career, the only gold he had previously won was the United States Championship which he held for just 70 days in 2017.

Baron Corbin revealed an earlier tag team run for him was scrapped by the company that could have seen him find success with a former Universal Champion.
