Bad Bunny “Most Embraced” Celebrity Backstage In WWE

Bad Bunny had an impressive performance at WWE Backlash and he’s getting a lot of praise from people within the company backstage.

There was a “Double Main Event” at WWE Backlash, which the company is celebrating today for breaking records in terms of being the highest-grossing and most-viewed Backlash in company history.

Cody Rhodes found a way to beat Brock Lesnar, but for many fans, Bad Bunny’s match with Damian Priest was the biggest match and a lot of people believe it was the best match as well. It was only Bunny’s second regular match in WWE. The Grammy Award-winning music superstar proved he can more than hold his own in a WWE ring.

The match with Bad Bunny and Damian Priest was a San Juan Street Fight that involved Priest slamming Bunny off an equipment case and put him through a table. Bunny kept on fighting back by weakening Priest’s knee, which led to some others making their way down to the ring.

Damian Priest got some help from his friends in The Judgment Day – Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio. That led to the Latino World Order’s Rey Mysterio trying to save Bunny by himself, but Rey was overwhelmed. Former WWE star Carlito ran out there in an LWO shirt and the crowd popped for him very loudly. They loved seeing Carlito back in WWE and the fact that he’s Puerto Rican certainly helped. Savio Vega and other members of the LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) also neutralized The Judgment Day.

That left Bad Bunny alone with Priest again. It would lead to Bunny hitting a “Bunny Destroyer” which is his version of a Canadian Destroyer and he pinned Priest to win clean. Bad Bunny was put on the shoulders of the LWO while the fans cheered him loudly because he’s a Puerto Rican just like them.

In an update on how WWE felt about Bad Bunny, PWInsider Elite reports there were lots of raves for Bad Bunny. It was also noted that Bunny has “easily become the most embraced ‘one of the boys'” among all of the celebrities that have performed in WWE.

While WWE has yet to announce when Bad Bunny will appear again, there is a report that they are interested in using him again for SummerSlam in August.
