Bad Bunny really impressed a lot of people with his performance at Backlash and a new report claims WWE wants him to appear again later this year.

When WWE announced that San Juan, Puerto Rico was going to host Backlash, they announced Grammy Award-winning singer Bad Bunny, who is one of the biggest music stars in the world right now, would be the host of the show.

The plan for Bad Bunny changed because instead of hosting Backlash, he was part of the Double Main Event in a San Juan Street Fight against Damian Priest of The Judgment Day.

Bunny and Priest are former tag team partners in WWE that are both from the same town in Puerto Rico, so they managed to build up a personal rivalry.

As soon as Bad Bunny made his entrance, the crowd was going absolutely crazy. He looked like he was right at home in a pro wrestling ring despite the fact that he had only wrestled one regular match in his career at WrestleMania 37 in 2021 with Priest against The Miz & John Morrison. Bunny was in the 2022 Royal Rumble as well.

During the Backlash match, Priest put Bunny through a table by the tech area at one point and Priest also had Bunny down for a three count, but Priest pulled him back up. That proved to be a mistake because Bad Bunny made the big comeback, got some help from the LWO against The Judgment and won the match with a Bunny Destroyer.

The fan reaction for Bad Bunny was incredible throughout the match, as well as during his appearance on Smackdown. It’s likely that Bad Bunny had the loudest reactions of anybody on either night since he’s a native Puerto Rican that is such a big music star right now.

According to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, WWE was really happy with Bad Bunny’s performance and are hoping that they cause him at SummerSlam as well.

SummerSlam 2023 takes place at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday, August 5th. There’s no official word yet on if Bunny will be there, but obviously, he’s a busy guy with his music career, so that could be a factor too.
