Austin Theory Can Use Full Name Again
The name changes in WWE continue as a new report has confirmed that Mr. Money in the Bank will get to use the full name Austin Theory again.
Following the July retirement of Vince McMahon as WWE Chairman/CEO and Head of Creative, a lot of changes have happened in the company. Some wrestlers released during McMahon’s run as the boss have been brought back like Hit Row, Dexter Lumis, Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett and even Johnny Gargano has signed a new deal after his contract expired. It’s all part of a positive era in WWE with a more laid-back atmosphere in WWE due to Triple H being in charge.
There have also been changes to the names of some of the superstars, who can be referred to as wrestlers as well. Matt Riddle got his first name back when his full name appeared on the screen on Raw and his WWE.com profile reflects the change as well. When McMahon was running things, it was just Riddle.
Another wrestler who gets their full name back is Austin Theory, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. It was reported by Johnson that it has been confirmed that Theory can use the full name again. The 25-year-old Theory’s real name is Austin White.
On the August 29th episode of Raw, Theory interrupted a pre-tape interview with Johnny Gargano, which was shot from the seats in the arena before the show. Theory bragged about all his success this year competing at WrestleMania, winning the US Title, winning Money in the Bank and mocking Gargano for staying at home changing his newborn son’s diapers. Theory wished Gargano good luck because he was swimming with sharks now.
While Theory is not currently scheduled for a match at WWE Clash on the Castle this coming Saturday, he could make an appearance at the show if he feels like it’s the right time to cash in the Money in the Bank contract on whoever is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
