Andrade Breaks Silence Following Controversial WWE Exit

Andrade

Andrade has made public comments for the first time since the news of his WWE exit.

There was a surprising WWE release over the weekend when it became publicly known that Andrade is no longer a WWE superstar since he was moved to the alumni section on the company’s website.

It has been reported that it was a release by WWE, rather than Andrade’s contract expiring. Since he returned to WWE for the 2024 Royal Rumble, he had more time left on his contract, so it’s a case of the company feeling like they had to move on from him.

Due to his attitude issues, Andrade had to be escorted out of a SmackDown taping, and he also wasn’t at recent SmackDown shows over the last month, even though he’s a part of the blue brand.

Over the last few months, Andrade formed a tag team with fellow Mexican wrestling star Rey Fenix. The duo won several matches together, they had great chemistry, and were a lot of fun to watch. Fightful Select reported there was a plan at one point for Andrade and Fenix to face the Wyatt Sicks at Clash in Paris on August 31st, but that didn’t happen, obviously.

Andrade Says “Thank You” To WWE

Writing on X/Twitter, Andrade wrote a simple message: “Thank you WWE!!!”

In an image posted on Instagram, Andrade wrote “Thank You” on a paper to show that he was thankful for his WWE run.

It’s unknown if Andrade will go back to AEW or choose another path for his wrestling career. He worked for WWE from 2015 until March 2021 and then again from January 2024 until this week. In between his two WWE runs, Andrade worked for AEW from June 2021 until the end of 2023.

Andrade was married to WWE’s Charlotte Flair from May 2022 until late 2024, when they got a divorce. They worked on the SmackDown brand together during his latest WWE run.
