Andrade El Idolo Discusses Whether He’s Spoken To Triple H Recently
With plenty of speculation that a number of former WWE stars may be looking for a return to the company, Andrade El Idolo has opened up on his current relationship with Triple H.
Having recently noted that he has had some issues backstage with Sammy Guevara, Andrade El Idolo seemingly got involved in a confrontation with Guevara ahead of the 5th October 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, which led to Andrade reportedly being sent home from the event.
This has added further fuel to the fire that Andrade El Idolo may be looking for a way out of AEW, angling for a return back to WWE under its new management regime.
In a recent interview with Más Lucha, Andrade El Idolo discussed how he left on good terms with those in NXT and new WWE head honcho, Triple H.
He gave me an opportunity and helped me a lot in NXT and I spoke to him when I requested my release. We are on good terms, and he always mentioned that I can keep in contact with him.
Continuing on, Andrade admitted that he hasn’t spoken to Triple H recently but there would be a straightforward line of communication if it were to happen.
I cannot say that I have contacted him recently, but it is difficult due to legalities. And if he wanted to speak to me, my wife (Charlotte Flair) works there, so he can always reach out to me from there too. There is lots of stuff happening, including people saying I want to go back to Triple H, but I don’t want to speak too much about that.
Andrade El Idolo’s originally scheduled Mask vs. Career match against 10 of The Dark Order for this Friday’s AEW Rampage has been scrapped, leaving little indication of what direction he could take should he stay with his current employer.
