Alpha Academy Will Face Top NXT Tag Team On WWE Raw
Alpha Academy issued an open challenge on social media leading to a former championship team from NXT accepting the match.
The Alpha Academy tag team has become one of the most popular acts in WWE after a few years of being bad guys. Chad Gable and Otis have been joined by Maxxine Dupri in the group as they do their best to rise to the top of the tag team division.
On Twitter/X, Gable posted about how Alpha Academy just had a successful four-day tour in Germany with the WWE Raw roster and now they want to have an open challenge this coming Monday, October 30th on Raw.
The challenge was answered on Twitter/X by Julius Creed of The Creed Brothers tag team (Julius & Brutus) in NXT.
Open Challenge Monday. #WWERaw

That means we will see the first-ever match between the Alpha Academy and The Creed Brothers this Monday on Raw in Greenville, South Carolina.
Julius Creed’s tweet mentioned “Tables, Ladders & Scares” as well. That’s a match on NXT this Tuesday where it’s a TLC match except it says “Scares” instead of “Chairs.” In that match, The Creed Brothers will face their rivals, Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo.
Alpha Academy and The Creed Brothers are both former champions
The matchup between Alpha Academy and The Creed Brothers is not a fresh matchup, but they are also both championship tag teams.
Alpha Academy were WWE Raw Tag Team Champions starting in January 2022 for 56 days. It wasn’t a long reign, but it certainly elevated the team to where they are now as a credible team on the main roster.
As for The Creed Brothers, anybody who has watched NXT over the last two years knows how much long-term potential that brother tag team has. The Creeds were NXT Tag Team Champions in June 2022 and it lasted for 92 days, so just around three months.
Here’s what WWE is advertising for the October 30th Raw so far.
* #DIY – Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa vs. Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci & Ludwig Kaiser
* Trick or Street Fight: Natalya vs. Chelsea Green
* Candice LeRae vs. Xia Li
* Dominik Mysterio vs. Ricochet. It’s a non-title match, so Dominik’s NXT North American Title isn’t on the line.
* Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. JD McDonagh. This is also a non-title match, so Seth’s World Heavyweight Title isn’t on the line.
It’s the final Raw before WWE Crown Jewel this Saturday, November 4th.
