Alexa Bliss Didn’t Think WWE Fans Would Pick Up On Movie Tribute During Match

Alexa Bliss has given fans many memorable moments inside the squared circle.

From being a 5-time Women’s World Champion, a 4-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, to winning the inaugural Women’s Elimination Chamber match, Bliss has done it all.

However, a singular incident that stands out for the 34-year-old star is when she and her opponent in the match, Bianca Belair, performed a movie skit as part of their moves.

During the January 2, 2023, taping of WWE RAW, both women performed a move set from the third Scary Movie film.

Speaking on the In The Kliq podcast, the current Women’s Tag Team Champion recalled the popular segment, admitting that she did not expect the fans to notice it.

We didn’t think anyone would notice. To be honest. It started as a joke. Because we were like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is like our characters. How funny is that?’ Then it became- I love doing anything that’s ridiculous in the ring. I had a match with Naomi where the whole story was I couldn’t keep my shoes tied.

I love things that are just fun and silly and we- what turned into a joke turned into what was happening in the ring and in our minds, only we were gonna know and not even five minutes later, I was scrolling on Twitter and just the side by side. People are quick man people know, that was something we thought we were- we thought was gonna be an inside joke and it did not happen that way.

Alexa Bliss Targets WrestleMania Return

It’s been five years since Alexa Bliss had a match at WrestleMania.

Bliss last competed at WrestleMania 36, where she teamed up with Nikki Cross to unsuccessfully challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Titles held by The Kabuki Warriors.

During the podcast, she revealed that her aim was to be featured on the WrestleMania 42 card.
