AJ Styles Tells Truth Over Rejected TNA Hall Of Fame Induction

AJ Styles

After speculation that WWE stopped AJ Styles from being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, the star himself has given his side of the story.

Over Bound For Glory weekend, Bob Ryder and Rhino were inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. Ahead of the event, Matt Hardy revealed that Monty Brown had also been under consideration, but the company was unable to get hold of the star as he’s gone “off the grid.”

In addition, Fightful Select has reported that TNA approached WWE about potentially inducting AJ Styles. However, WWE “passed on the opportunity” and although no specific reason was given, people in TNA believe it’s likely to do with Styles’ injury and storyline.

AJ Styles Turned Down TNA Hall Of Fame

However, AJ Styles has now taken to social media to have his own say on the situation and indicated that it was his decision not to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame as he’s still an active wrestler:

I’m still an active wrestler…I hope. I made the decision not to go into the TNA HOF, not WWE. I appreciate TNA, but I don’t want to go into any HOF as long as I’m still active. My choice

AJ Styles returned to WWE TV for the first time in 4 months on the October 4th edition of SmackDown where he ended up in a match with Carmelo Hayes.

However, things ended up going badly wrong for Styles as he suffered an injury which led to the referee calling off the match in favour of Hayes. Styles has confirmed his injury and it remains unclear when he’ll be back in the ring.
