AJ Styles May Leave WWE For Another Major Promotion

A WWE Hall of Famer believes that AJ Styles may leave to work for another promotion.

On the September 8 episode of RAW, The Phenomenal One cut a promo when the streaming cut for a commercial break.

Speaking to the audience at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Styles went off on Dominik Mysterio and the 28-year-old’s new ally El Grande Americano.

Styles claimed that he was alone and did not have his former stablemates Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as backup, whereas Michin was on SmackDown.

He then stated that someone in the World Wrestling Entertainment did not want him there.

AJ Styles then faced Americano in a singles match and secured a win, but not before an interference from another El Grande Americano, who was neutralized by Dragon Lee.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Bubba Ray Dudley discussed Styles’ promo in the recent Busted Open Podcast episode, calling it a “shoot.”

He also said that Styles might be headed to TNA after his contract ends with the Stamford promotion.

Who could be be talking about? And that’s what they want, and they’re getting it. I can’t come up with an answer…if I had a gun to my head and I had to bet a dollar, I would say it has to do something with TNA. I think that there is business that could be done with AJ Styles and TNA. [7:31 onwards]

AJ Styles’ WWE Contract Ends In February

Before his feud with Dominik Mysterio began, AJ Styles found himself with no storylines and away from taping on most occasions, prompting fans to wonder about his contract.

It was then revealed that the 48-year-old had signed an extension on his tenure.

During a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claimed that he’d heard Styles’ contract was up in February 2026.

I don’t know how much longer he’s gonna go because when he signed a new deal, it was a short-term deal, so that tells me when he signed the deal, he wasn’t planning on wrestling much longer. It may be a way to call attention to farewell stuff, Meltzer added.

In other news, Luke Gallows and Michin addressed AJ Styles’ shoutout to them on RAW.
