AJ Lee’s Next WWE Appearance Date Revealed

AJ Lee made her official WWE return on SmackDown, and fans won’t have to wait too long to see her again.

At the end of WWE SmackDown in Chicago, Becky Lynch was slapping CM Punk in the ring when Punk left the ring and said he would never hit a woman, but he knew somebody who would.

That led to Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, making her WWE return after more than a decade away from the company, where she held the Divas Title.

The arrival of Lee wasn’t a shock since it was heavily teased, but the fans in Chicago loved it since she lives there with her husband, Punk.

When Lee got into the ring, she beat up Lynch with punches, and Lynch retreated with her husband, Seth Rollins, who kept his distance from Punk to avoid a confrontation between them.

After AJ Lee’s official WWE return, Triple H shared a video of her contract signing, which likely means she is sticking around for the long term, rather than just having one match or some short stint.

AJ Lee Likely Headed To WWE Monday Night Raw With CM Punk

A SmackDown appearance from CM Punk was a special thing because it took place in his hometown of Chicago. Punk is a regular on the Raw brand, and PWInsider reports that at SmackDown on Friday, there was discussion about how AJ Lee is likely headed to the September 8th edition of Raw with her husband.

The reason why AJ Lee is headed to Raw is because it’s expected that WWE will make the mixed tag team match official for Wrestlepalooza on September 20th: CM Punk & AJ Lee against Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch in what will be Lee’s first WWE match in over 10 years.

It’s unknown if WWE will advertise Lee for Monday’s Raw, but the crowd sure loved seeing her on SmackDown, so it would be a smart move to let the fans know that she will be there.
