AEW’s Bryan Danielson Issues Huge Challenge Despite Injury

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has one eye on a huge grudge match in the new year despite suffering a serious facial injury.

Bryan Danielson recently suffered a broken orbital bone during his Collision match with Andrade El Idolo after an apparent accidental clash of heads between the two stars.

Despite that Danielson still took part in a huge tag team match that saw him team with his Blackpool Combat Club partner Claudio Castagnoli against AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy and Kazuchika Okada. Castagnoli won the bout by pinning Cassidy but the headlines were made by Danielson receiving treatment for his injury while Okada stood over him apparently mocking his distress.

The American Dragon and Kazuchika Okada were opponents at Forbidden Door when Bryan Danielson tapped out The Rainmaker despite suffering a broken arm during that bout.

Bryan Danielson Wants Wrestle Kingdom Match

Despite many worrying about Bryan Danielson’s short-term future after suffering his most recent injury, he seems to have put those doubts to rest as he issues a massive challenge for Wrestle Kingdom.

In a video shared by NJPW on social media, Danielson says he wants his revenge and challenges Kazuchika Okada to a huge rematch at Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome on January 4th.

Bryan Danielson has competed in the Tokyo Dome three times in his career with the last of those appearances coming in 2004 when he teamed with Koji Kanemoto and Ultimo Dragon to defeat Heat, Naomichi Marufuji, and Tiger Mask.
