AEW’s Biggest Star Expected To Eventually End Up In WWE
Is it a formality that one of AEW’s biggest stars will end up in WWE?
Since the formation of AEW in 2019, perhaps no star has had more of a meteoric rise than MJF. The Salt of the Earth rose through the ranks to become the most hated man in AEW and, much more importantly, the AEW World Champion.
But could his long-term future lie elsewhere?
Speaking on Mic Check with Mr Anderson, former WWE star Maven explained why MJF is his current favourite wrestler:
My favourite wrestler today is MJF, I love MJF. When you know the business and you can watch a match and I can tell you exactly how long it’s gonna go. I can usually give a pretty good guess of who’s going over and what the finish is going to be.
But he’s the one person I will watch as a fan and [not know what’s going to happen]. So for him to be able to take me back to what made me fall in love with wrestling, that’s why he’s my favourite.
MJF Expected To Leave AEW For WWE’s Riches
As for whether or not MJF will end up in WWE one day, Maven thinks that’s a certainty:
Eventually [he’ll jump to WWE]. I understand that loyalty runs deep but eventually money wins and he’s gonna want to conquer the biggest company.
Conquering the biggest company notwithstanding, many AEW fans will find Maven’s comments about money bizarre, considering Will Ospreay was offered substantially more by Tony Khan to join AEW than he was offered to join WWE.
It’s also widely believed that the likes of Kazuchika Okada and Mercedes Mone were also offered major deals to ward off competition from WWE.
