Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd at AEW Worlds End stemmed from Allin’s long-standing war against the Death Riders.
The rabid Chicago crowd expected an all-out brawl, and the superstars delivered.
Darby Allin Shocks Gabe Kidd At AEW Worlds End
The mid-card match set for a high-intensity clash, setting a violent tone to the bout contested under no holds barred.
The match kicked off immediately as the bell rang.
Gabe Kidd, however, got the advantage, at one point nailing Darby Allin with a slingshot by placing him between the steel steps.
Allin was busted open immediately, as Kidd continued attacking his opponent.
The 32-year-old did the most of the minimum retaliation he got on Kidd by making him bleed, too. Darby hit a Coffin Drop on Kidd, who rolled out of the ring to prevent a pin.
Darby hit his signature move, this time Kidd laid out on the floor outside. He hit a Scorpion Death Drop, paying homage to his mentor Sting, and followed it up with a Scorpion Deathlock.
Kidd got out of the submission and hit several offensive moves, including a pile driver. Darby Allin, however, reversed a blind pinfall for the win.
