Ex-AEW World Champion Finally Wins First WWE Title
Ex-AEW star is now a champion in WWE.
Blake Monroe is famous for her time in Tony Khan’s promotion, where she had an epic rivalry with Toni Storm over the AEW Women’s World Champion. She even won the women’s gold once during her AEW stint.
A few months following her title loss to Storm at Grand Slam Australia, Monroe left the Jacksonville-based company and joined WWE. She made her surprise debut on the June 3, 2025, episode of NXT.
Monroe had her eyes on the NXT Women’s North American Championship held by Sol Ruca. At NXT Halloween Havoc on 25 October, she faced Zaria, who filled in for an injured Ruca, in a singles match for the NXT gold. Ruca sustained a leg injury on SmackDown while challenging for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
The crowd at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona, saw Monroe defeat Zaria to win the NXT Women’s North American Championship. This marked her first title win in WWE. There was one more title change that took place on the same night in the women’s division.

Tatum Paxley Defeats Jacy Jane To Become The New WWE NXT Women’s Champion
Tatum Paxley made a huge splash at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 25, 2025, by defeating Jacy Jayne to win the NXT Women’s Championship for the first time. Jayne had been a dominant champion since May, successfully fending off all challengers, but Paxley earned her title shot by winning a 20-woman battle royal.
The championship match was intense, with Jayne and her faction, Fatal Influence, trying to keep control, even using dirty tactics and ringside interference to maintain their advantage.
In the match’s climax, after several back-and-forths and chaotic moments involving various wrestlers, Paxley hit her signature move, the Cemetery Driver, to pin Jayne and claim the title. This victory ended Jayne’s 150-day reign and marked Paxley’s first championship win in WWE, just like Blake Monroe.
