AEW Title Situation “Has To Be Changed”
The AEW World Championship situation reportedly will have “to be changed” on Dynamite as rumours swirl about the condition and status of CM Punk.
Punk’s first reign as AEW World Champion was curtailed due to a serious foot injury that saw him out of action for a couple of months. In his absence, Jon Moxley was crowned as Interim AEW World Champion which led to an Undisputed Title match between the two when Punk returned to action in August.
Moxley was successful on that occasion, but the two men clashed once again in the main event of All Out. In front of his hometown Chicago crowd, CM Punk managed to avenge his loss and regained the AEW World Championship once again.
But that win did not come without cost according to a new report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer who described Punk’s injury as “serious.” As a result, the AEW World Title situation could need to be addressed as soon as Dynamite in Buffalo.
Punk injury, believed to be from the tope, is serious. Rumors from Sunday but he hadn't confirmed them but it's been confirmed to me no matter what happens discipline-wise that the title situation has to be changed and addressed tonight.

The title situation was possibly up in the air given the disciplinary situation following the fight that took place after the show between CM Punk, Ace Steel, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega. Suspensions have followed for those involved in that situation with Punk’s future in the company still seemingly uncertain.
