AEW Talks Held Over Sammy Guevara’s Future

Sammy Guevara

Sammy Guevara has not been seen in AEW for several months and now it seems there have finally been talks over his future.

At the February 14th taping for AEW Rampage, Jeff Hardy suffered a broken nose during a No Disqualification with Sammy Guevara. However, during the match, there was also a concern that Hardy suffered a concussion, but despite this, concussion protocol wasn’t followed and the Spanish God hit the veteran with his finish.

Sammy Guevara was suspended by AEW as a result of the situation and he has not been seen since. Meanwhile, his opponent on that fateful night, Jeff Hardy left the company after his contract expired bringing his ill-fated time in AEW to an end.

But things might be about to change for the former TNT Champion.

Talks Over Sammy Guevara Take Place In AEW

Fightful Select has reported that there have been discussions in AEW about Sammy Guevara’s return to TV. It was also noted that Guevara has not been suspended for a “couple of months” meaning that his continued absence is not to do with disciplinary reasons.

Guevara and fellow AEW star Tay Melo welcomed their first child together in November 2023. There is still no word on when Melo might return to the company.
