Jeff Hardy Facing “Slow Process” Ahead Of In-Ring Return

Jeff Hardy will have to wait for AEW return.

On February 14th, Jeff Hardy took on Sammy Guevara in a No Disqualification Match taped for AEW Rampage. During the match, Hardy suffered an injury scare after being hit by Guevara’s knee following a Shooting Star Press. The bout was broadcast on February 16th.

Following the match there were fears that Hardy had suffered a concussion, while Matt Hardy joked that the Sammy Guevara curse is real. Matt famously suffered an injury at the hands of the Spanish God back in 2020.

Jeff Hardy Dealing With Broken Nose

Although those early reports of a concussion for Jeff appear wide of the mark, he still faces a significant wait before he gets back in the ring.

Speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt gave an update on his brother’s condition and recovery.

“Obviously, Jeff’s nose, as I said, it was broken, had a couple little breaks in it. He’s getting some tests done on his sinuses to see how his sinuses are doing. It’s not a fast project. These things move slow, but we’re just trying to make sure his health is first and foremost and putting that above everything else. So that’s the main thing kind of to update on the status of him.”

Matt Hardy has only wrestled once in 2024, teaming with Jeff and Mark Briscoe to defeat Kip Sabian and The Butcher & The Blade back in January.
