AEW Tag Team Explodes On Dynamite

Killswitch Kip Sabian AEW

One AEW tag team looks to have come crashing to an end on Dynamite after one member abandoned their partner.

After being kicked out of his own Patriarchy group at All In Texas, Christian Cage reluctantly ended up reuniting with his old partner, Adam Copeland. Cage and Cope were due to do battle with Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian at Forbidden Door, but injury put paid to that match.

Nick Wayne revealed he’d suffered an injury and instead introduced his replacement, a man Christian Cage knew very well, Killswitch.

Killswitch and Sabian lost to Cage and Copeland at Forbidden Door, with Sabian and Mother Wayne blaming Killswitch for the loss, as all was not well in the group now known as The Matriarchy.

While Copeland and Cage have moved on to a huge match at All Out against FTR, The Matriarchy were looking to find their way onto that card by qualifying for the four-way ladder match for the AEW Tag Team Championship.

Killswitch Leaves Kip Sabian Hanging On AEW Dynamite

Killswitch and Sabian faced off with JetSpeed on the September To Remember edition of Dynamite, with Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey picking up the win. The conflict continued to show between Sabian and Killswitch, with the English star slapping his partner in the face to tag himself in. Eventually, Killswitch pulled his hand away from a tag and left Sabian to be flattened by Bailey for the win.

Notably, when he walked up the entranceway, Killswitch left through the babyface entrance rather than the heel one, indicating his time with The Matriarchy is over.

Killswitch’s former partner has teased a return to AEW as they sent a very pointed message to The Young Bucks.
