AEW Stars React To Inadvertent Shout Out From The Rock

There are some AEW wrestlers who noticed a certain hand gesture made by The Rock at the end of WWE SmackDown.

In the main event of WWE Smackdown from Salt Lake City, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns talked about it being a big night and officially announced that The Rock was a part of The Bloodline group that Reigns has led for nearly four years.

That led to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wearing one of his classic colorful vests from his 1998 to 2000 run in WWE.

When The Rock spoke, he was in full heel mode. Rock mocked the fans throughout the promo calling them trailer park trash, inbred and other things. The Rock said that you had The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but you flushed it down the toilet. Rock said that it was the same toilet where you tweeted about Cody finishing his story.

As he continued, Rock said that his cousin Roman Reigns beat Cody’s ass last year at WrestleMania, Cody lost the match and now he wants a rematch. The Rock didn’t mention that Cody won the Royal Rumble match at all.

While the People’s Champ continued, Rock said that the real world doesn’t give you a shot at another story just because you want it – that’s not how the world works. Rock said that you don’t understand that because you’re spoiled, entitled crybaby bi**hes. Rock said he’ll do everything in his power to make sure that Cody Rhodes walks out of WrestleMania as a loser.

It was made clear by Rock that Cody’s story is ending and The Bloodline’s story is just beginning. Rock said that they are the most dominant duo in WWE about himself and Roman Reigns, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

At the end, The Rock said: “If you smell what The Bloodline is cooking” to end it. At that point, Rock held up his hand in the air along with the rest of The Bloodline to show they were together.

AEW Wrestlers Notice The Rock’s Hand Gesture

What was interesting about the end of the show is that The Bloodline stood in the ring together with their index fingers in the air as usual. The Rock joined them, but he also had his thumb sticking out as well.

That certainly caught the eye of AEW’s Austin Gunn of The Gunn Club tag team as well as the Bullet Club Gold and Bang Bang Scissor Gang groups. The Rock’s hand was doing the same gesture that Gunn does when he says “Gunns Up.”

The hand gesture was also noticed by AEW’s Anthony Bowens, who is also part of the Bang Bang Scissor Gang group.

It’s unlikely that The Rock was shouting out the Bang Bang Scissor Gang and simply had his thumb out because that’s how he wants to do the “Acknowledge Me” sign. It’s still mildly funny and something that some wrestling fans are going to notice.
