AEW Stars Tease They Could Be On Their Way Out

The future of FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler has been the subject of much discussion in recent weeks and now it looks like they could be one step closer to leaving AEW after the events of Dynamite.

Over the last few months, there has been plenty of discussion around the contract status of FTR with AEW. Although they ended up returning at Revolution with one eye on the Tag Team Championships, the other talk had centered around their contracts potentially ending in April this year.

With that seemingly the case, Dax Harwood has also recently confirmed that their future has been decided – without confirming if they’ll be staying where they are, returning to WWE, or going on an independent run.

On Dynamite, things may have become clearer as FTR looked to get revenge on the team that defeated them in December 2022, The Gunns. The current AEW Tag Team Champions have refused to get back in the ring with FTR but with Harwood and Wheeler looking to make an example of The Gunns and get back in the hunt for the AEW Tag Team Title, they raised the stakes by putting their AEW careers on the line.

Former New Japan Pro Wrestling star Jay White recently left that promotion after losing a “loser leaves NJPW” match to Eddie Kingston but FTR’s own bout could just be an added wrinkle to their ongoing storyline and a win for the team is as likely as a loss.
