AEW Stars Surprisingly Shown On WWE Raw

AEW fans tuning into WWE Raw would have seen two familiar faces surprisingly featured on the show.

WWE is not known for referencing anything or anyone outside of its strictly confined universe but it seems in recent weeks that the stance has softened.

Michael Cole referenced Sting’s retirement after The Icon’s final match at Revolution which led to an unintentionally hilarious moment where Cole’s broadcast partner Pat McAfee went a step too far by noting that Sting’s final bout was “an incredible match” before Cole abruptly cut him off.

Two AEW Stars Seen On Monday Night Raw

Now two AEW stars have been seen on WWE Raw and Pat McAfee was at it again when a photo of Rhea Ripley attending the recent UFC 299 event was shown. The Women’s World Champion was sat beside her fiancé, current AEW star Buddy Matthews which led Pat McAfee to ask “Who’s she with?” but he got no response at all from Michael Cole.

Later in the night, a video package played highlighting the Intercontinental Championship ahead of a number one contender’s gauntlet match. That package featured nine-time WWE Intercontinental Champion and AEW original Chris Jericho.

Sami Zayn will face Gunther for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 40 after he won the gauntlet match by last defeating Chad Gable.
