AEW Stars Settle Real-Life Heat Backstage At Dynamite

AEW Tony Khan

Two real-life AEW rivals have cleared the air.

Although MVP’s arrival in AEW at Grand Slam on September 25th wasn’t exactly a surprise, his debut did raise a significant number of questions.

While the former WWE star had been friends with Chris Jericho in the past, it’s no secret that their relationship has deteriorated spectacularly in more recent years. This included reports of Chris Jericho being knocked out by MVP on his “Jericho Cruise” in January 2020.

There was a also second incident where they were seen arguing in a hotel, although it seems this altercation was entirely verbal.

With this in mind, many fans have wondered what this could mean for the backstage harmony in AEW, especially given the company’s well-publicised history of locker room issues.

MVP And Chris Jericho Bury The Hatchet At AEW Dynamite

Despite the significant personal issues between the pair, it’s now been reported by Fightful Select that they met backstage at AEW Grand Slam.

The report noted that during his first night with the company MVP made a point of going to Jericho’s locker room. Although there are no specifics available about the exact nature of their discussion or what was said, sources indicate any issues were “hashed out” and no problems are expected going forward.

MVP earned praise backstage for taking the initiative and dealing with the situation head-on. The pair have seen since seen interacting backstage without incident.
