AEW Star’s Injury Causes Last-Minute Change
The card was subject to change for AEW in Albany, New York after an injury caused a last-minute pivot.
Dynamite took place in Albany, New York, and in a big night of action for AEW, the Lucha Brothers picked up a big win in the main event over Best Friends and Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli of the Blackpool Combat Club. Elsewhere on the show Orange Cassidy retained his International Title against AR Fox who later in the evening turned his back on his old friend Darby Allin to join Swerve Strickland’s Mogul Embassy.
There was a win for former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker as she defeated Taya Valkyrie, who was less than happy with the response one moment in the match received online.
As usual, Rampage was taped after Dynamite ended but AEW President Tony Khan first addressed the crowd to tell them that an advertised match for Friday’s show had to be changed due to an injury suffered by Scorpio Sky. The former TNT Champion had been scheduled to face Kip Sabian on the show but instead, Khan announced Komander as Sky’s replacement.
