AEW Star Undergoes Knee Surgery

An AEW wrestler has posted on social media after undergoing surgery to repair a knee injury.

Following a six-man tag team match win on AEW Dynamite, Hologram was all set to face off against TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher in a title match. It was supposed to take place on the October 1st episode of Dynamite that celebrated six years of the company’s main TV show.

Later in that same week on AEW Collision, Fletcher was shown attacking Hologram in a cheap attack. That was used to cover up an injury to Hologram.

It was also announced on social media by AEW’s Owner, Tony Khan, that Hologram would be out of action until the end of the year, and he wished him the best in his recovery. Orange Cassidy took Hologram’s place in the match with Fletcher, which Fletcher won.

In a post on X/Twitter, Hologram shared a video of his bruised knee that was surgically repaired this week. The video is graphic in nature.

Tony Khan Wants Samoa Joe In AEW Forever

Samoa Joe won a big four-way match on AEW Dynamite that will lead to the veteran wrestler getting another shot at the AEW World Title held by “Hangman” Adam Page.

When Tony Khan spoke about Samoa Joe recently, he made it clear he wants the former AEW and ROH World Champion to stay with the company for a long time.

“Hugely valuable. Samoa Joe is already one of the top mentors in AEW and anybody who steps in the ring with Samoa Joe learns a lot and anybody (who) gets the tutelage of Samoa Joe in AEW learns a lot.

I think Powerhouse Hobbs is a great example of somebody who is currently learning a lot from Samoa Joe that will benefit him throughout the rest of his career. I know he’s learning, to quote Samoa Joe, life lessons.

Life lessons that will be with him for the rest of his life, and I am very, very proud to have Samoa Joe in AEW and I’m very optimistic that eventually, whenever Samoa Joe does decide to retire from the ring, I’m very hopeful and optimistic that Samoa Joe will stay with us in AEW and be a mentor to the wrestlers… And my hope is that Samoa Joe will stay with us in AEW forever.”
