AEW Star Turns Heel, Joins Faction On Dynamite

One AEW faction has boosted its numbers following a shocking heel turn on Dynamite in Albany, New York.

Orange Cassidy kicked off the show in the spot that he has made his own as he put his AEW International Championship on the line against AR Fox. Fox had been a long-time friend of Darby Allin and a video package explained how Allin had managed to get Fox the title shot.

In the end, Orange Cassidy’s impressive reign continued as he picked up the win but the real story came after the match. AR Fox seemed unimpressed by his loss and broke Cassidy’s trademark sunglasses as well as laying out the champion from behind.

That got the attention of Darby Allin – who has teamed with Cassidy in AEW – and he admonished AR Fox before telling him to return to the back.

That set the tone for later in the night when Darby Allin was in action against Swerve Strickland in their increasingly personal feud. With Darby Allin on the outside of the ring, AR Fox reappeared and shoved him into the ring post which set up Strickland picking up the win over the former TNT Champion.

After the bout, AR Fox stood tall with Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana indicating that he was now a part of the Mogul Embassy.

What else happened on AEW Dynamite?

Dynamite was headlined by a wild three-way tag team match that saw the Lucha Brothers pick up the win over Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli of the Blackpool Combat Club as well as Best Friends.

Dr. Britt Baker DMD defeated Taya Valkyrie by submission and PAC was reintroduced to someone he thought forgot him a long time ago as he made short work of Gravity.
