AEW Star Gives Honest Take On Collision Walkout Mess

One AEW star has waded into the controversy after two stars walked out of Collision as they were unhappy with their match.

Former WWE star Nixon Newell and her partner, Miranda Alize, bizarrely walked out of Collision after being told they’d be losing to Tay Melo and Anna Jay in a three-minute match. That came after they lost in short order to Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir in short order in their AEW debut.

It seemed initially that Newell and Alize had been unwilling to lose, but later reports made clear that they were unhappy at how short the match would be, and Newell has since claimed they felt the three-minute match did not help anybody.

But it seems not every wrestling star would agree with that assessment.

AEW’s Taya Valkyrie Says Being On The Show Is A Privilege

Taking to social media, AEW star Taya Valkyrie spelt out her take on the situation, and said no matter how long you’re given to make an impression, you make it count:

At the end of the day, this is a business, it is our job. It doesn’t matter if you get 1 minute or 45, you make every second in front of those fans and on that TV count. It is an honor and a privilege to be part of the show. I’ve been doing this for 15 years and I’ve been in every position, good, bad, champ, enhancement…. and every single aspect of the show, small or big is important. Make it count And that’s my Ted talk.
