AEW Star Suspended Following Final Battle
An AEW star has found themselves on the receiving end of a suspension following their actions at the recent Ring of Honor pay-per-view, Final Battle.
Suspensions have been a hot topic in AEW in the latter half of 2022 with CM Punk, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega all receiving one following their alleged backstage fight at All Out in early September.
Andrade El Idolo has apparently found himself suspended by the company as well after he got into a physical altercation backstage with Sammy Guevara after the two men had gone back and forth on social media. In all instances, AEW has not confirmed that these suspensions have taken place.
Now Andrade’s La Faccion Ingobernable teammate RUSH has apparently been suspended following Final Battle on the 10th of December. At that show, RUSH and Dralistico lost a tag team bout to AEW newcomer AR Fox and Blake Christian amid some confusion. Fox hit Dralistico with a 450 splash for the win but the Mexican star appeared to kick out despite the three count.
After the match, RUSH and Dralistico went to town on their opponents with chairs with RUSH even attacking a referee. Now Jose The Assistant has taken to social media to indicate that RUSH has been suspended for 1 week by AEW – meaning that this suspension at least could be a part of an ongoing storyline.
RUSH “assaulted” a Referee
We got fined $$ for using chairs
We’ve been SUSPENDED for a week by #AEW
Preston didn’t get too involved and isn’t suspended.
You can’t fool the fans, they know the match ending was BULLSHIT.#ROHFinalBattle#LaFaccionIngobernablepic.twitter.com/8gcCauiELd
